True North Calling Screening

True North Calling Screening

True North Calling is a new CBC Network show that comes out in February with the season finale on March 24. It's still being shot throughout Iqaluit, Whitehorse, Inuvik and Yellowknife and is based on bringing viewers on a journey through the North by following the day-to-day experiences of several characters that deal with unforgiving terrain, unpredictable weather and unexpected challenges to make a life for themselves, their families and in some cases, their communities.

There will be a screening of two episodes of CBC's True North Calling. The first fifty people to arrive will receive a limited edition True North Calling mug filled with hot chocolate and topped with marshmallows. CBC North meteorologist Ashley Brauweiler will be there to introduce the show!

Growing up in the isolated northern community of Fort Good Hope, NT, Dylan has taken the role of being a voice for the hardship and beauty of a more rugged way of life.

The River Jacks

The River Jacks

The river jacks prevalent punk rock roots make you want to raise your pint and look back on the days when there was no such thing as an early night and certainly no morning meetings. There was just music that made you want to put your arm around the person beside you and sing along until sunrise. Perhaps this warm fuzzy feeling is partially due to the fact that the gentlemen of River Jacks are from bands that we used to share those fleeting moments with.
