Saskatoon's newest polka supergroup,1-800-POLKA, takes its inspiration from the small-town prairie old-time dance bands of days gone by. Featuring Joseph Desjarlais on fiddle and Rochelle Wright on accordion, members and siblings of Gil & Wil, and Jake Vaadeland's Sturgeon River Boys, the band will showcase accordion, guitar, fiddle, drums, banjo, beautiful harmony vocals and more. Having formed to play at the historic Danceland hall in Saskatchewan's polka capital, Manitou Beach, they have found themselves in high demand as (quite likely) Canada’s youngest prairie polka dream team ever since.
